About this position

NDB seeks a Quality Control & Testing Intern to support quality assurance, product testing, and reliability validation for our nano diamond battery technology. This internship provides hands-on experience with quality control processes, testing protocols, and data analysis. You will assist with product testing and quality inspections, support reliability testing and data collection, help develop test procedures and documentation, and conduct data analysis and reporting. This position offers exposure to quality management systems, testing methodologies, and manufacturing quality control. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in quality engineering or product testing to gain practical experience. You'll learn industry-standard quality practices while contributing to breakthrough energy technology.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field
  • Completed coursework in quality control, statistics, or testing methods
  • Strong academic record (3.0+ GPA preferred)
  • Understanding of quality concepts and statistical methods
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product testing and quality inspections
  • Assist with reliability testing and accelerated life testing
  • Collect and analyze test data using statistical methods
  • Help develop test procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Document test results and create quality reports
  • Support root cause analysis for product failures
  • Participate in quality audits and inspections
  • Learn quality management systems (ISO 9001) and best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or laboratory experience
  • Familiarity with quality tools (control charts, Pareto analysis, FMEA)
  • Experience with data analysis software (Minitab, JMP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma or Lean principles
  • Strong interest in quality engineering and continuous improvement
  • Availability for 3-6 month internship commitment
