About this position

NDB is seeking a Media Manager Intern to support social media strategy, content creation, and digital communications for our nano diamond battery technology. This internship provides hands-on experience with social media management, content marketing, and public relations in the clean energy sector. You will assist with social media content creation and management, support press releases and media outreach, help create visual content and videos, and monitor media coverage and social engagement. This position offers exposure to digital marketing, brand management, and technology communications. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in marketing, communications, or digital media to build a portfolio while promoting breakthrough clean energy technology. You'll help tell the story of revolutionary innovation to diverse audiences.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field
  • Strong academic record (3.0+ GPA preferred)
  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills
  • Proficiency with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred
  • Creative mindset and attention to visual aesthetics
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for clean energy and technology innovation

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging social media content (posts, graphics, videos) for multiple platforms
  • Manage social media calendars and posting schedules
  • Support development of press releases and media materials
  • Help coordinate media outreach to journalists and publications
  • Monitor social media engagement and analytics
  • Research industry trends and competitor social media strategies
  • Assist with video production and editing for marketing campaigns
  • Track media coverage and prepare media monitoring reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or experience in social media or marketing
  • Portfolio of social media content or marketing materials
  • Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.)
  • Video editing skills (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
  • Photography or graphic design experience
  • Availability for 3-6 month internship commitment
