About this position

NDB is seeking a Supply Chain & Operations Intern to support procurement, supplier management, and operations planning for our nano diamond battery technology. This internship provides hands-on experience with supply chain management, vendor relations, and manufacturing operations in an innovative clean energy startup. You will assist with supplier research and vendor qualification, support procurement activities and purchase order management, help with inventory tracking and materials planning, and participate in supply chain analysis and optimization. This position offers exposure to strategic sourcing, operations management, and supply chain analytics. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in supply chain management, operations, or industrial engineering to gain practical experience. You'll learn how to build and manage supply chains for advanced technology products.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • Completed coursework in supply chain, operations management, or logistics
  • Strong academic record (3.0+ GPA preferred)
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Good communication and relationship management skills
  • Interest in manufacturing and technology supply chains

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify potential suppliers for specialized materials and components
  • Assist with vendor qualification and supplier evaluation processes
  • Support procurement activities including RFQs, quotes, and purchase orders
  • Help track inventory levels and materials requirements
  • Conduct supply chain data analysis and cost comparisons
  • Maintain supplier database and procurement documentation
  • Participate in supplier meetings and negotiations
  • Research supply chain best practices and optimization opportunities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or co-op experience in supply chain or operations
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or procurement software
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools
  • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma principles
  • Interest in nuclear, semiconductor, or advanced materials supply chains
  • Availability for 3-6 month internship commitment
