About this position
NDB seeks an Electronics & Control Systems Engineer to design electronic circuits, control systems, and embedded software for our nano diamond battery technology. This combined role focuses on power electronics, control algorithms, monitoring systems, and embedded software development. You will design power conversion circuits and battery management systems, develop control algorithms for thermal and power management, create embedded software for system monitoring and control, and integrate electronics with mechanical and nuclear systems. This position requires expertise in electronics design, control theory, and embedded programming. Join a multidisciplinary team working on revolutionary energy technology. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in electronics design and control systems
- Strong background in power electronics and battery management systems
- Proficiency with PCB design tools (Altium, KiCAD, Eagle, etc.)
- Experience with embedded programming (C, C++, Python) and microcontrollers
- Knowledge of control theory and PID/advanced control algorithms
- Familiarity with circuit simulation tools (LTspice, PSPICE, etc.)
- Experience with electronics testing and validation
Responsibilities
- Design power conversion circuits and battery management electronics
- Develop control algorithms for thermal management and power optimization
- Create embedded software for system monitoring, data acquisition, and control
- Design PCB layouts and oversee board fabrication and assembly
- Integrate electronics with mechanical enclosures and thermal systems
- Conduct electronics testing, debugging, and reliability validation
- Develop user interfaces and communication protocols for monitoring systems
- Collaborate with mechanical and nuclear engineers on system integration
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with betavoltaic circuits or radioisotope power systems
- Background in nuclear instrumentation or radiation detection electronics
- Expertise in low-power or energy harvesting circuit design
- Familiarity with safety-critical systems and redundancy design
- Experience with wireless communication protocols (BLE, LoRa, etc.)
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC design and testing standards
