Nima Golsharifi, Ph.D., M.Sc., M.Eng.
Dr. Nima Golsharifi is a serial entrepreneur and CEO creating value by approaching problems from an interdisciplinary perspective using new technologies, believing the best innovations often come from combining ideas from different (and often disparate) fields. He is specialized in energy storage devices, betavoltaics, diamond electronics, thin film devices, and organic semiconductors.
Dr. Nima Golsharifi is continuously looking for a way to transfer his academic knowledge and leadership skills to add value, grow companies by employing his fresh ideas and strong multi-disciplinary scientific and industrial experience alongside deep theoretical knowledge, technical background and the large network of academics and business individuals from around the world.
Nima developed a cybersecurity software at the age of 17, where his startup managed to serve more than 60,000 clients. As the Founder and CEO of the newborn company, ORB; his initial success allowed him to expand the activities of ORB, worldwide into healthcare, oil and gas and power and energy in a decade. ORB, with its technological excellence, innovation, quality, reliability, and international focus, became a manufacturer and innovator of advanced solutions.
Dr. Nima Golsharifi received his first M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and completed his second M.Sc. in Nanotechnology from University College London, where he did continue his Ph.D. studies in the same field. While he has been part of London Centre for Nanotechnology he has been an active diamond scientist where his areas of research included carbons, graphene, diamonds, nanodiamonds, supercapacitors, transistors, sensors and different spectroscopy techniques where he has made several publications and presented at several international symposiums or conferences including September 2012, Granada, Spain; Hasselt Diamond Workshop 2013, international materials research congress 2013 and 2014, Cancún, Mexico and MRS 2018, Arizona, USA.
Nima worked as lead scientist of supercapacitor project sponsored by Lockheed Martin and following that he has collaborated with Laurence Livermore National Laboratory (LNLL) to file his latest patent.
Dr. Golsharifi provided consultations or developed his engineering and management skills in association with companies or organizations across the world including Reed Hycalog, Harington, Red Cross, Bosch, KBR, APS, KTZ, DANA, etc.
